Frigoboat K50F Keel Cooled Compressor w/ Manual Speed

The Frigoboat K50F compressor is used with a Keel Cooler condenser (purchased separately) to provide your boat with super efficient refrigeration. Unique to Frigoboat, the K50F combined with a keel cooler eliminates the need for an independent sea water pump and has unrivaled performance as a marine refrigeration system. The additional oil cooler (keel cooler) results in smoother running and extended service life. Although water is being used for the heat transfer, it is staying outside your boat at all times. No pump, no noise, no strainers to clean.

The Frigoboat K50F is designed for refrigerator boxes 7-20 cu ft or freezer boxes 5-10 cu ft, with good insulation

The Frigoboat K50F comes standard with a manual speed control board that is adjustable with a small screwdriver allowing for setting a constant compressor speed from 2,000 RPM to 3,500 RPM. 

Recommended options are the Merlin II Smart Speed Controller (E52152).

The Merlin II Smart Speed Control board gives you automatic speed selection for the K50F compressor. It runs the compressor fast when the set point and actual box temperature are significantly different and runs it slow when all you're doing is maintaining the box's set temperature. The Merlin II gives big energy savings while also protecting the compressor electronics and reducing stress on components. As a bonus, the Merlin II comes with a fault indicator light for when the compressor stops for a fault reason, Red LED will blink 1-5 times to let you know where to look for the problem.
